According to a recent survey by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), 4 out of 5 Americans have no idea what the speed of their Internet connection is.
New York State is asking residents to take a fast, simple broadband speed test. By taking the speed test at home, you will be getting real-time information about the quality of your broadband connection and better awareness about the speed you need to access content and services over the internet. You will also be supporting New York’s effort to accurately map current broadband speeds across the state to help drive future policy decisions and funding.
